Weber Shih is a photographer based in San Francisco and also working out of Los Angeles. He started his career at a young age freelancing for newspapers in Southern California and later for Scripps Howard in Washington, DC. Having also worked extensively in the film industry, he is experienced in motion production and freelances periodically as a cinematographer.
Weber graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Rhetoric and Political Science. Additional coursework includes film studies at Lund University in Sweden and documentary photography at the Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. He has taught photography at such institutions as UC Berkeley, Academy of Art University and City College of San Francisco.
Some commercial clients include Apple, Microsoft, Meta, NVIDIA, DuPont, Chevrolet and DTE Energy. Editorial clients include Paris Match, Rolling Stone, Decanter Magazine, Wall Street Journal and San Francisco Chronicle.
